Art Director- Experiential

: Our team at Aquent is seeking talented and experiencedArt Directors, Eventsto support our Experiential Marketing Agency client for30 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating innovative and impactful visual concepts for large-scale events. This role requires a strong understanding of both print and digital media, as well as the ability to seamlessly integrate them into cohesive experiences.
Location:Boston or New York City.This is a hybrid role. Must be able to work onsite 2 days per week at either our client’s New York or Boston office to be considered. Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week Dates:9/1/25 to 3/15/26
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, account management, and production, to develop creative concepts and approaches.
Generate original design concepts and oversee projects from inception to execution.
Develop compelling visual narratives aligned with project briefs, utilizing words, images, and sketches.
Create event/theme identity systems incorporating color, typography, and imagery (focus on event identity, not extensive brand identity design).
Develop storyboards to visualize experiences and content flow.
Select props and plants to enhance event environments.
Provide art direction to designers for the creation of various creative elements.
Coordinate design projects with creative project managers, event producers, graphic producers, and digital producers.
Manage design assets and approvals through Click Up.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an Art Director with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful large-scale event work.
Expert knowledge of print and digital design principles and production processes.
Ability to develop compelling visual concepts and bring them to life.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Click Up).
A passion for creating immersive and unforgettable experiences.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $55an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
