As an Area Medical Director, you'll oversee medical leadership and clinical development across Northern California, with potential expansion into other regions. You'll directly manage a team of Lead Doctors and partner closely with Area Clinic Managers and cross-functional leaders to uphold the highest standards of care across all clinics in your region.

This leadership role is intended for a licensed veterinarian (DVM/VMD) with a passion for coaching others, driving clinical excellence, and practicing medicine in a field-based capacity.

Reporting to the Vice President of Medical Operations, you'll coach, develop, and inspire veterinary leaders while helping Modern Animal grow responsibly. This is a field-based role - expect to spend ~80% of your time in-clinic, supporting teams and practicing medicine as needed

This position may be based in California, Colorado, or Texas , with regular travel required to clinics in Northern California and other regions as assigned. The pay range for this position is $205,000- $258,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
