AIM Governance, Risk, and Compliance (“GRC”) Director role, reporting to the AIM Chief Compliance officer, that leads certain risk and compliance activities. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience designing, administering, and leading investment adviser compliance and operations risk programs. This role will direct multiple compliance and risk activities across multiple programs. Responsibilities include administering compliance with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, supporting mutual fund compliance programs, administering compliance with internal corporate policies, and leading AIM’s operations risk management program. This is a leadership role that regularly interacts and advises senior management. Effective candidates will effectively utilize Allianz corporate resources, offer industry best practices, offer solutions to complex issues, and collaborate across the Allianz organization. What you do: Design, build, execute, and manage compliance and operations risk programs. Tailor to AIM specific needs, document and align to internal Allianz standards. Design and assess risk-related metrics/measures; communicate business impact to business partners and track remediation to reduce risk. Identify, create, implement and document key controls including designing and administering policies and procedures. Design, perform, and oversee control validation activities such as administering testing, monitoring and oversight program activities. Ensure AIM second line activities are performing effectively and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate across AIM business functions balancing achieving business objectives and control activities. Provide senior level risk and compliance challenge and advice by demonstrating technical proficiency, analytical skills, prudent and ethical judgment, exemplary communications, and practical problem solving. Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI). What you bring: Experience and Education: 8 years of relevant investment management compliance and operations risk management experience. Leadership experience. Strongly prefer a four year degree in finance, law or a related business discipline. Demonstrated expertise of investment adviser compliance and risk management Mastery communicating complex topics in such a way that they can be understood by people with a wide variety of backgrounds, including non-technical backgrounds Broad and effective communication skills to work with executives, third-parties, managers and front-line employees through various verbal and written formats. You must be legally authorized to work in the US and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc.). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship. Range $117,000 - $196,000 Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
