Addictions Service Medical Director (Open Rank) Faculty School of Medicine    Requisition The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine seeks a Medical Director of Addiction Services for the Center for Health Care Services (CHCS), the community mental health center in for Bexar County, Texas. This will be a full-time faculty position at the University, funded by CHCS. Rank and Tenure status will commiserate with experience and history of accomplishment.
The Medical Director of Addiction Services will oversee the Addiction Services provided at CHCS and provide direct patient care. The Medical Director will develop substance abuse service strategies in collaboration with CHCS leadership and program administrators to ensure safe and efficient patient-centered care. The Medical Director will manage the CHCS Opioid Addiction Treatment Services (OATS) and shall be responsible for the safe administration of methadone, buprenorphine and other addiction services medications. They will apply continuous quality improvement processes to support patent experience and outcomes.
The applicant should be a graduate of a program in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine accredited by the American Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and at least three years of experience. A history of administrative experience is required.
