A college degree is preferred but not required. Experience of the Activities Director: Must be a qualified therapeutic Activities specialist or an activities professional licensed by the state and eligible for certification as an Activities specialist or professional; or have at least one (1) year of experience in a social or activities program within the last five (5) years, including at least one (1) year full-time in a patient activities program in a healthcare setting; or be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or have completed a state-approved training course.
