Located in the beautiful coastal community of Morehead City, Crystal Bluffs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is one of the leading providers of short term rehabilitation and long term care in Eastern NC.   Our 92-bed state of the art Skilled Nursing Facility has recently been through a full-facility remodel. We currently have a need for an Activities Director..
This position will work  in all areas of resident life enrichment activities while focusing on individual needs and quality of life.   The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and adaptable in utilizing facility and community resources to build a program that recognizes the individuality of each resident.   The ideal candidate will have one or more years of experience in the role of Long Term Care Activities Director or as a LTC Recreational Therapist and an understanding of long-term care standards, rules and regulations. The candiate would be responsbile for multiple activity assistants within the department to enhance resident outcomes.

Qualifications:
Preferred – Activity Director Certification or Recreational Therapist License
Preferred – Minimum one year experience as an Activities Asssitant in long term care environment
Ability to work well with diverse population (residents, families and staff)
Demonstrated ability to think creatively in designing group and individualized   resident activities programs
Ability to plan,   organize, prioritize and implement programming
Demonstrated self-motivation, self-direction and   flexibility and ability to problem solve meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and all levels of the organization
Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
Valid NC driver’s license and good driving record for the last three years.
