Summary:
The director is responsible for placing employees in dormitory rooms and RV sites. Provides transportation to and from the park. Arranges the transportation to Rapid City and Custer as well as tourist destinations. Plans and organizes activities for employees in their free time. Serves as security and counselor:
Responsibilities
Provides excellent guest service; serves as a role model.
Is thoroughly familiar with the dormitories and the numbers assigned to the RV sites.
Sets a schedule for cleaning the common areas in the dormitory and picking up trash outside.
Ensures safety and quiet time in the dormitory.
Has a working knowledge of the schedules at the bus terminal and airport.
Plans the weekly, monthly or regular free-time activities.
Maintains the employee van for transportation of the employees to Custer, Rapid City or tourist attractions.
Guides and gives directions to new employees.
Handles multiple tasks in regard to addressing employee needs and maintaining park rules.
May be assigned other duties, sometimes in other departments, as the need arises to support fellow staff members in achieving the company mission.
Reports to the general manager on all room assignments and any room moves or changes.

Education/Experience Preferred:
Prior experience and/or training desirable but not required.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing abilities and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occurs continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other associates.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Physical Requirements: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently exposed to humid conditions and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate unless there is a big party.
